HOW THE FIGHT BEGAN
Amy and her husband Alex were pregnant with their twins when they got the news that Amy had Stage 3 Colon cancer. They made the best and safest decision they could to keep their family whole and have the opportunity to later give birth to their twins. Amy underwent mild chemotherapy throughout her pregnancy and later had surgery to remove the tumor from her colon after her twins were born. She then continued with a more aggressive form of chemo for six more months. Six months after she finished the more aggressive chemo, Amy was told that her cancer had spread to her liver and lung. Amy's case is now considered Stage 4 and she continues the battle, now increasingly harder, to fight for her life. Stage 4 cancer is considered treatable, but not curable. This means that Amy could be fighting this battle with expensive treatments for years to come. She is determined to fight no matter how hard the battle! She wants the chance to watch her kids grow up and to grow old with her husband, Alex, and we want to help her do that! Please join us in supporting Amy and her family during this tough time.
